ECSBM 2017 - European Conference on the Spectroscopy of Biological Molecules

The 17th European Conference on the Spectroscopy of Biological Molecules (ECSBM) will take place in the city center (canal district) of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, from the 11th until the 14th of September 2017. ECSBM has become a leading conference located at the crossroad of three fundamental scientific fields: Physics, Chemistry, Biology.

About 50 speakers will present their work (detailed programme will follow soon). The conference is attended by researchers using spectroscopic techniques (Raman, IR, UV-Vis, fluorescence, NMR, EPR), as well as those who work on imaging techniques applicable to the study of biomolecules, cells, or tissues. Main topics of the 17th ECSBM will be:

  • Molecular reaction mechanisms and interactions of biomolecules monitored by time-resolved FTIR, 1-and-2D IR and 1-and-2D electronic spectroscopy.
  • Novel developments in intravital imaging.
  • Label-free imaging methods.
  • Single molecule techniques.

The proceedings of the 17th ECSBM will be published in “Biomedical Spectroscopy and Imaging” in a special, dedicated, issue edited by Prof Dr Marloes Groot  (Local Organiser of 16th ECSBM) and Prof Dr Parvez Haris (Editor-in-Chief of Biomedical Spectroscopy and Imaging).
